The site was the home of RNAS Tresco that countered the German U-boat threat in the Western Approaches. On this site is now a development of 12 stunning beachfront houses with a modern restaurant, bar, indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna, steam room, treatment rooms and tennis courts. Each house is equipped for comfort and convenience, decorated in a refreshing New England style. The houses all have oak flooring downstairs, beautiful artwork throughout, sea views, wi-fi broadband and digital satellite TV with 2 premium sports channels. Rental is inclusive of temporary membership to all the Club’s facilities as well as entrance to Tresco Abbey Garden. The Club is situated next to the houses and has views across New Grimsby harbour. It has a collection of fine art and provides a comfortable environment in which to read the papers, have an espresso, a drink or a meal. In summer there is a secluded walled garden in which to sit and, in winter, a friendly log-fire. The Club is on two levels with a restaurant upstairs and the Wardroom bar downstairs. As one would expect the 12 beachfront houses are perfect for that family or extended family holiday, but also provides an exclusive location for groups of friends to gather and to enjoy a relaxed and unique holiday.
