Ginny Hulands
I moved to Bryher at the beginning of 1986, after many years of visiting the islands on family holidays. I started working for Isles of Scilly Inclusive Holidays in March of that year; I took time out to have children and started working for Inclusive Holidays again in 2002.
I am married to Steve, who runs Bryher Marine Engineering on Bryher (storing, servicing and selling out board engines). We were married in Bryher Church in September 1987; my transport to the church was on a tractor and trailer, decorated with carpet tiles, lots of flowers and greenery - with a garden bench painted white! I have three children; all three went to Tresco & Bryher Primary School, travelling to and from school daily by boat - my youngest daughter is still in the juniors, my son has just finished a Marine Engineering course at Falmouth Marine School and is now back on Bryher working for Bryher Marine Engineering. My eldest daughter is training to be an accountant with a firm in Newquay.
I have been involved with gig rowing for over 20 years, and rowed for Tresco & Bryher Rowing club in the gig "Men-a-Vaur"; I also enjoy running.
