Dogs are welcome in Scilly, and your dog will enjoy the wide open spaces, choice of beaches and a swim in the Atlantic Ocean! The only island where dogs are not permitted to stay is on Tresco; however you may visit for the day as long as you keep your dog on a lead.

Dog Friendly Areas
There are some restrictions on St.Mary's as to where dogs are allowed to be walked and they should also be kept on a lead on ANY road, on the off islands there is more freedom and local dogs also roam free.
Travelling with your dog
Options for travelling to the islands with your dog include the helicopter from Penzance, in either a large fixed dog box on the aircraft floor, or a smaller carry on box. The large dog box can accommodate two smaller dogs. The dog box dimensions are:
