Restaurant Guide

"The Isles of Scilly are becoming a great place for foodies. There's a growing emphasis on local produce, as well as a vineyard, microbrewery, home grown herbs, soft fruit, veg and fresh shellfish." Carol Trewin - Food Magazine

There are a great range of restaurants, cafes and pubs on Scilly, from 3 rosette fine dining in the hotels, to a classic fish and chip van. Many places have limited capacity because the islands and venues are small, so be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Smaller establishments may not accept payment by card, so be prepared and travel with cash.

The majority of eateries aim to use local produce where possible and Scilly's harvest is most impressive in its variety and quality. Every island has its trademark - Bryher crab, Tresco beef, St.Agnes ice cream, St.Martins bakery products and St.Mary's ale. Many restaurants will offer lobster but this usually needs to be booked 24 hours in advance so the fisherman can catch it in the morning for your meal that evening!

Below is a gastronomic guide to each island which we hope will tempt your taste buds for a tour of Scilly's finest flavours...
